We also incorporate drainage in the base so your pit doesn't sit full of water after a rainstorm.
A permanent stone pit outlasts a big box steel bowl by decades. We can match the stone and cap to any existing patio or retaining wall on your property, creating a cohesive and beautifully integrated outdoor feature.

Gas and Propane Fire Features
For those tired of hauling wood and dealing with smoke, gas and propane offer instant ambiance. We install modern linear fire tables and gas fire pits featuring lava rock or fire glass media. These are especially appealing for smaller yards or covered areas where smoke management is a concern.

Seating Walls and Surrounds
A fire pit without seating built around it often ends up ringed with folding chairs. We design curved seating walls at the perfect height, finished with a smooth stone cap, or low retaining edges where the yard naturally grades away.
We space the seating far enough back to be comfortable when the fire is roaring. By building the pit and the surround at the same time, we ensure that the grades, stone, and jointing all match perfectly for a seamless look.
Usable After Dark
Lighting and the Wider Patio
A great fire pit area invites you out after sunset. We can integrate low voltage lighting cast directly into the seating wall or step face, and add path lighting along the walkway leading out to the fire. We can also incorporate planting designs to screen the space from neighbours for added privacy.
A fire pit usually works best as part of a larger patio build rather than being dropped into the middle of the lawn. We design the entire space so it flows naturally from the house to the fire feature.
